WHAT DOES CPSC’S 2501  Harrison Street Oakland Therapy Offices have to offer?

1) Oakland Therapy Office gives you the ability to see when hours are available to rent online.  This can be helpful when a client can call you up and you can look at the available schedule in real-time.  This can allow you to only rent office space when you need it.  This enables you to not have to rent a room all day when you are only going to use it for that hour!

2) Oakland Therapy Office gives you the ability to reserve therapy office hours online.  You simply go to the calendar, click the day, then click the hour.  You then enter your name, credit card number, and email.  You will get an email confirmation.  Also, once you are entered into the scheduling system as a provider, you will be able to sign up for repeated appointments and sync them with your google calendar.

3)  Oakland Therapy Office gives you the ability to allow your clients to sign up online for hours that you have already reserved.  For example, if you rented 10 hours per week, for example, Tuesdays and Thursdays 10am to noon and Mondays 4pm to 9pm, and if you had three vacant spots in your schedule, you could have a link on your website and/or the Oakland Therapy Office so clients could sign up online.  Both you and clients can also have access to when the rooms are available to be able to coordinate times to meet.

4)  Oakland Therapy Office gives you access to a scheduling software.  With schedulista, you can:

  • Imbed your available schedule on your website, or on Oakland Therapy Office’s website, on facebook, etc.
  • You can sign up from your computer or smartphone for single or repeated appointments.  
  • Clients can sign up from their computer or smart phones for hours you have reserved.
  • You have the option to require credit card reservations to make appointments (Note:  When I -Todd Harvey- started doing this in my private practice, no-shows on 1st appointments went from between 40% and 50% no shows to almost zero no-shows).  If the client has pre-paid for their first session, they are more likely to show up.
  • The scheduling software could also allow clients to schedule free or paid phone consultations with you.  This can be extremely helpful in preventing long sessions of phone-tag that could cause you to loose clients.  It can also be helpful in landing clients because often new clients reach out to 3 to 5 therapists.  If they can sign up for a phone appointment with you online that automatically plugs into your google calendar, you are more likely to get new clients.
  • 5)  If you are a MFT registered intern, CPSC can provide you supervision or allow you to choose your own supervisor.  CPSC provides individual supervision and/or group supervision provided by Peter Coster, MFT.  CPSC can also facilitate the legal structure for you to be able to choose your own supervisor and choose the location for the office you use.

Once you are an approved, you can sign up for therapy space online.  Simply go to the OaklandTherapyOffice.com and sign up on the calendar for the hours that you want.

 

POLICIES

Rooms are rented by the 50 minute “Therapy Hour”

“When is the room mine? When can I enter it?”

If you are scheduled for 10:00 am, you are paying to rent the room between 10:00 and 10:50. The room is yours during those 50 minutes.

“What happens between 10:50 and 11:00? Whose room is it then?”

The last 10 minutes in the hour are a transition time between the therapist that just finished their session and the therapist entering for the next hour. The therapist that finishes their session should try to leave as close to 10:50 as possible and leave no later than 10:55am and the therapist who has the 11:00 hour reserved should wait until 10:55am to enter the room to prepare for their client.

“If I have the 11:00 hour, what do I do if the 10:00 therapist’s session ‘goes over’?”
The therapist before you is expected to have the ability to end their sessions on time. If they do not end on time then you have an obligation to knock on the door at 5  10:55am.  They are in violation of their rental agreement and THEY are being rude.  You have the right to prepare yourself and the room between 10:55 and 11:00 am. Also, you are expected to let the room manager, Todd Harvey know. Please call him at 510-686-3390 or email him at todd@toddharveymft.com  If the person before you is going over in your time with you then they are probably doing it with other people.

IF THERE ARE ANY ISSUES:

There is an expectation that people will be professional, clean up after themselves, have furniture in its proper place upon leaving, and leave their rooms on time. Please do not hesitate to cal Todd Harvey at 510-686-3390 if there are any issues that need to be addressed.
